Jamal Musiala signs five-year contract with Bayern Munich
Bundesliga club tie down highly-rated German international to a long-term deal
Jamal Musiala has signed a five-year contract with Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga club have announced. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, but he has now committed his future to the German record titleholders.
Musiala joined Bayern Munich from Chelsea in 2019 and has since established himself as one of the most exciting young players in Europe. He made his debut for the first team in June 2020 and has since gone on to make 42 appearances, scoring six goals.
The Germany international is seen as a key part of Bayern Munich's future and the club are delighted to have secured his services on a long-term deal. "Jamal is a very talented player with great potential," said Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. "We are very happy that he has decided to extend his contract with us."
Musiala is also excited about his future at Bayern Munich. "I am very happy to have signed a new contract with Bayern Munich," he said. "This is a great club with a lot of history and I am very proud to be a part of it."
